ZZ 502 HR cam
Has anyone used the ZZ 502 factory hyd roller cam in a stock 427 engine, and if so, what did you think about it?
Here is a link that lists specs for the cam:

The Gen VI hydraulic roller lifter uses an alignment collar on paired lifters to keep them aligned with the cam. There is a flat at the top of the lifter bores on which these collars rest. Those collars are held in place by what some refer to as a spider that bolts down on bosses in the center of the valley. Unless your block has those flats machined at the top of the lifter bores and the tapped bosses in the center of the valley, I'm not sure how you could use the GM ZZ502 cam. There are probably smarter people out there that might know a way. Good luck.

You just can't use the lifters if you buy a GM Cam Kit which may come with the lifters. Last GMPP flat tappet cam kit I bought came with the lifters. Not sure about the roller cams.
