They got all five cars together, and it seems that is the best quality photo out there? Sad.... but I've yet to see one better.

We do have other videos that actually have all the datalog information overlayed on the video. Shows RPMs, MPH, G'forces, where the car is on the track, etc. But those are for in house eyes only.(at least for the time being) I will post them here when I get permission.

This link takes you to our database on everything Grand Sport related we have in our Library.

But in the mean time how's this for a killer shot.

Thank you very much, I am glad you like it. I will be producing a few more as we have hours or footage.(currently working on a video of the Porsche Elva, but after thats done I'll work on another Grand Sport for all of you)

Here's another cool shot you all might enjoy.
We had to body off the 004 Grand Sport before we went to Monterey and thought it would make a great photo. The picture is actually made up of 8 high resolution photos so you can zoom in pretty good and retail some detail.

thanks, ive seen alot of GS pics, and can't remember seeing,close-up pics of the frame/body-off special parts, you could probably do a whole photo book of just the one-off parts

Default Photo's of our Car's

It sure would be fabulous to be able to buy some time on a track long enough to get all our cars in a pictures like this.

C2 Track/Drag/Street

Someplace central to the country where it would be reasonable close to as many as possible.

It would be a life time keepsake.

Ideas??

I love the idea, Ty. The logistics might prove daunting, though.

Speaking just for me, a central location would mean a three day tow each way..... for a photograph. The ROI is on the low side.

But if you arrange to do this at, say, Laguna Seca, I'm all in!

Here is some footage of chassis 002 driving around outside the Simeone Museum, as well as some commentary about the car.

I have a question about D&D Grand Sports

Did D&D make Grand Sports from the original mold?

I ask because of what i read on the link below(have a look at the text under the white Grand Sport #002)

The information on that page is utter nonsense. D&D made their own molds from scratch.

I agree with Jim. When I first saw this thread I gave Gary at Mongoose a call. He would know if anyone would other than Dean of D&D himself. Gary told me as far as he knew the molds were made by Dean from pictures and measurements. The molds were not taken off a donor GS. The current Mongoose molds are the D&D molds from years ago but their have been some changes made over the years. My D&D 049 car which was built in 1996 has the interior angled kickins at the rear wheelhouses for clearance for the rear brake air ducting. The current Mongoose molds do not have this.
The previous owner of 002 did make a set of molds off the 002 car . I believe that the 002 car is probably the most original not rebuilt/repaired/modified body GS in existence. The Simone museum where 002 now lives also has a replica body on display built from those molds. Then there is the Duntov versions !!!! ------------------ Ken

Thanks Larry. I just sent a 63 dash assembly I picked up down to Corvette Instrument service to be converted into a GS style dash. Let me know when the hinges are ready. --- Ken

To get license plates on a Grand Sport in my country is almost impossible because all cars have to be original and i know of only 1 Grand Sport with license plates and that is a D&D car and if the person that imported the car had any papers showing that the car was made from the original molds would make it much more easy to get license plates on the cars
So that is why asked about it

I just got an email from Gary about this
