Default Model Builder going to built 10 Corvettes 63-67?

I plan realistically on 5 Coupes and 5 Convertibles in 1/24 scale with authentic colors, which would you build? Maybe will do some race cars!

1963 Split- torn between Sebring Silver and Riverside Red, but then I have always thought of the little red Corvette as a convertible! Naturally a fuele car, but then maybe a Guldstrand racer replica! Then I think of the #119 Hooper Riverside car and that being the first Stingray win ever, but that takes the place of a stock Z06 split which is a classic! Hard choices!

1964 and so on!
1965 colors to do?
1966 and so on! Maybe Penske Car!
1967 Maybe Delorenzo L-88 stock and 67 LeMans racer? I also like Tuxedo Black with white stinger and Marina Blue with black, ETC. I also like the #92 AP racer L-88!

What would you build and why? So many decisions! I have actually bought all of the kits!

For the 67 convertible, I'd do this one:

Really rare black over black/white interior 435.

I'd do this one, elkhart blue.I'm in the process of doing a 1/64 scale Johnny Lightning for him and putting it on a key chain to hang on his mirror.

Always loved the SWC in Daytona Blue and would do the '65 Roadster in Nassau Blue like this one.

Are you using die cast cars, as they are 1/24th scale? Most of the plastic kits by Revell and AMT are 1/25th scale. Do tell us what you are starting with.
Post pictures of the finished models.

It's possible to build a 64 using a 63 model, you just modify the instrument cluster slightly.

Depending on who buys the tooling, some 1/25 kits are re-labeled 1/24 or vice-versa, depending on which scale is considered more marketable. They are really so close as to be interchangeable.

I find 1/25 MUCH easier to work with for scratchbuilding, you just use metric measurements, 1 millimeter to the inch. Rulers measuring 24ths of an inch are very hard to find, and figuring 1/8 inch = three inches, 1/16 inch = one and one-half inches, 1/32 inch = 3/4 inch, etc. is relatively sloppy.

I think this is why Detroit automakers started using 1/25 for dealer models back in the '40s.

I did a 1/25 scale 63 to look like a 64, did a change and had a 64 coupe and flipped even the hubcaps to make it look like my 64 roadster. I will be posting my diecast and model collection soon, at the diecast page.

I got all old MPC kits. But also have bought just about every release available over the last 20 years for certain
parts, engines, race parts, etc. and bought photo etch for those years. I can do just about any car that exists.

I have those with the #10 and #12 car bodies in Resin (cheezecast) and the Accurate Minatures for the rest. I have two spare AM kits for the resin cars. I also have the Aardvark 57 SS and a funky one off Stingray racer that I found. My new years resolution was to actual start scratch building unique cars in the 1/24 for the race cars and for 1968 and up and 1/25 for the c2 cars since only the Monogram 65 is scaled in 1/24 afterr getting caught up in 1/43 kits and the diecast for alot of years. I had a big accident and paying big doctor bills so I have to cut back on buying the 1/43's, and am doing plastic again. Wanted some ideas, because I am torn on so many cars. Also have kits like the Resin GTP #52 and Resin Greenwood Racer. I was hung up for years trying to custom mix authentic colors, but now getting actual car paints and will mix to the smaller scales of 1/25 &25.

My Grandsport plans screeched to a halt years ago when I bought all of the Exoto Diecasts in 1/18 and the Marsh 1/43.

I snipped your Black, white white 435 and put it in my 5000+ corvette picture collection. I really like that color combo and have only seen it about 5 times in real life. If it is at Corvette Mikes, I will go look at it, if in Anaheim. Last time I was in there was to catch the Red L-88 1967 and later a yellow Mosler.

Some thing about the Revell bodies doesn't look quite right to me but I can't put my finger on it (like the fenders are too raised?) and then the AMT is too harsh, square, but closer too accurate than the Revell. I spent some money years ago to get the MPC convertibles. The Coupe came out in many releases for the 1967 car. I have original MPC for the 64 coupe and the 66 coupe and found a scrap mpc 66 body to use for the 1965 coupe, but would have to mod it some. Under all of these, I will use the new tool Revell Chassis and suspensions etc.

I wish all of the manufacturers would standardize. 1/24 is more international. I wish I could get C2's in 1/24. That would be a dream, especially a vert. I wish Monogram would do a 1/12 convertible with option grills and rims decals to do 1963 thru 1967, and then add the option parts to the existing coupe tool in 1/12. Who wants the custom parts that they added. There 1/43 vert is a good kit and I have a few resin coupe bodies to go on those chassis. I almost was going to try modifying their 1/24 for all years and make my own grills et., but that would be hard and time consuming.

I love flared cars. But I still have to model my 1:1 scale roadster with race box flares. I bought two Auto Art red 1963's and have started to mod my car using one of those diecast. I took 5 spokes from a Carousel 1/18 L-88 and other race goodies, but the flares I will use foam in minature to shape and then fiberglass them in minature. I figure cut the glass with scissors into the smallest fragments, then resin and sand and then grind the foam out with the dremel..

I like Elhart blue. I think 1967 was the only year, I will look that up when I get a minute. See my problem! Too many interesting colors and cars.
