1962 as a Ridler contender
It didn`t win the Ridler, but it was one of the Great 8' finalists cars at the Detroit Autorama .....one super clean bling free 1962 Vette....

Beautiful car = wouldn't have said it was "bling-free" though with those wheels.

Oh all those hours, hours, hours that is a nice 62 resto rod. I don't know how people find the time to get these cars finished to such a high degree of practically BMW/ Benz factory finish ! Nice car thanks for the photo... Stewy

Practically BMW/Benz factory finish? Hand-built American show cars at that level are far BEYOND any production car ever built, anywhere in the world.
I remember one 'Vette fanatic who invested two weeks just getting his SWC door jambs ready for paint; while superior to Rolls, the finished car was still not quite Ridler quality.

at this level - builds are thousand and thousands and thousands of hours - fit and finish are measured in mm - paint and chrome is at level most people cant comprehend. I competed in ISCA for two years. I saw guys change interiors between shows - he spent 18k / I knew a guy that would change entire paint scheme from year to year - it is a whole different world. Attention to detail is the game, leaving nothing unturned. I do enjoy the shows and the cars - they are truely amazing.

....Love the color, perhaps those huge PDL (?) wheels that look like the stock caps would be cool.

uh.....like only once.....to verify operation and get your sticker for your headlight that shows that it starts, moves, has brakes and electrical works.....after that, probably never again until it needs to be re-certified once more....the car isn't even driven into place....pushed very carefully....
