Default Holley Carb Rebuild Help

After rebuilding my original Holley 3367 for my '66 I have discovered that I have no business rebuilding a Holley. That thing just dumps fuel, fouls the plugs and annoys the neighbours. I've readjusted the floats many times, replaced the new power valve with a newer power valve and everytime I bolt it back up, it's the same thing.
Now here is where I need your help: I don't want your help. Or your advice. I just want to pay you to get my Holley right, no cosmetic work and you need to be able to bench run it after it's done, send it back to me so that I can bolt it on and go. I'd try it again myself but I don't wanna buy anymore sparkplugs ! Who on this Forum has this special gift that I don't ?

Eric did my carb a few months ago and it was absolutly perfect. His refinishing is super great too.

I just spoke with Eric today. My carb is finished, and ready to return. The many endorsements on the forum convinced me that Eric was the way to go.

I went round and round with the same deal, the only thing that worked was putting in a cheap pressure regulator.

Will do. It is going to be awhile because I plan on pulling the engine to detail the bay. I can't get started until it gets a little warmer. I only was able to get my garage ceiling insulated before the cold set in and hunting and snowmobiling kept me occupied. The HotDog space heater is still in the box.

Good luck on that engine pull. I am just finishing mine up this weekend. Lots of hard work and cost me way more than I thought (old story). The "While I'm at it" will sneak up on you trust me. You will glad when it's done as you will be proud when you pop that hood... Good luck.

Here are a few photos of my project...

This is the almost finished project...

Thanks for the replies and suggestions fellas, after a lovely conversation I have decided to send the carb to Forum member midyearvette who is currently doing business as "Knuckle's Speed Shop And Scotch Emporium". I am happily expecting ,upon it's return, a nicely sorted carburetor and a bottle of Dewar's (and a midyear console insert to hold it, I've seen the photos ... ).

He will just cook some brotts, invite DaHogan and Jim over, drink a lot, and in a few moments, your carb will be like new. Kathy will keep them in line.

Ask me how I know

Holleys are just not that complicated. The trouble comes from various "improvements" that were done over the years. A magazine article, the local "expert", mixed parts, wrong gaskets, extra holes and way off jets, wrong power valve and accelerator pump parts all conspire to make a mongrel that will never run right. As long as nothing has been changed and no warping. It should be easy to rebuild

Midyearvette does. Carb clinic day was yesterday. Frank brought over your carb after rebuilding it and bolted it on my 66 L 79. Perfection Ray, you chose correctly my friend. And while he was here he tweaked mine as well. Yours should be on its way back home soon but w/o a bottle of Dewar's. Amazing what knuckles will do for a few beers. Thanks Frank
