Purchased this summer from owner who had it since 1973. NCRS Shipping Data shows built 5/20/63 and sold by Don Allen Motors in Buffalo. Missing 1st 10 years of it's history.

anyone have any info on a FI black SWC that was purchased at Carlilse in 1986 ,my ermine white / Bright blue 67 327 auto AIR coupe with side pipes and repro bolt on's was traded for it

Thanks. I'm surprised you had anything on my car, because the previous owner had it 38 years. He wasn't much into the corvette hobby, never had it judged by NCRS, Bloomington, etc. Certainly didn't seem the type to be on this forum or others. I wonder where you would have gotten the data from?

I don't know where I got the info from but had it listed, without the Body number.
Perhaps I saw it advertised for sale on one of the many sites prior to you buying it??

wonder how many had the split put back in the car? Many ,mnat removed it to look like the newer cars and also wonder if any still have the little "jeep" back seat many installed in theirs to take the kids with them.

We had ours repainted (silver w/red interior) and were told after there were 5 different colors underneath eachother. . . Ours is in CA. ..

Here's a picture of the 10 split windows referenced in post by Fogaley on 10-26-11 8:01 pm #162. This was an all corvette show held in Wichita, KS in June 2011 by the NCRS Midway USA Chapter. We will be holding this show again on the 2nd Saturday in June, 2012 at Davis Moore Chevrolet on West Kellogg in Wichita, KS. None of the cars are 'registered'.
They are listed by serial number sequence in my '63 file.
I already have your Blue auto coupe recorded in my file (I think).

I'll assume that you have mine. I understand that "of all Corvettes built between 1963 and 1967, half have been stolen, and of those stolen, half have never been recovered"
Of 199 63 Z-06 Corvettes, the Registry currently shows 97 (or about half)...41 small tank and 56 big tank cars.
Therefore I sould assume that regular cars would have about the same numbers (about 50% of 20 odd thousand) would be 10,000...or so.

I am new to forum and now you have mine too. 1963 swc 53rd coupe made 91st vette produced that year . 17056 original miles ,just out of storage after 20 years. Currently at dealer getting new paint. early model white fiberglass. 327 300 4speed
