Syd,

Yup, just so your notes are clear, I just put in the 327. So, this might be the third engine - lucky car. Can you tell who had the car before me?

thx,
Rob

I did not have your Blue/Red Coupe #7,794 listed. This is probably only the 3rd or 4th rare Daytona Blue/Red color combo I now have in my file.
Is it a 4spd? Would you mind please telling me the cars Body number?

I also had no info for your Blue Coupe #8,105. 4spd too?
I did have your Roadster #15,136 listed. I had it listed as a 4spd with PS and a White soft top as well.
Your '63 300hp Roadster was built only 104 cars before my 300hp Coupe. By chance, do you know your engine casting date?

Thanks Oldtimah!
Syd
I will gather the info you request as soon as I get out of this power wheelchair.

The Blue/red car is a 4-spd. In fact all my '63s are 4-speeds.

Hi Rob,
Sorry but I don't know any history for your car except for the info I related.
I do not record names in my '63 file...just the cars as they appear.

Thanks again
Syd

Hi Turbo,
I have no record in my file for '63 Roadster #14,356.
Would you mind please telling me more so that I can include it?

Thank you!

According to Mike McCloskey, on Jay's Garage, he estimated that 1/2 of all produced that year were still around?

I was going to ask you before if your '63 was body #6,848.
That's because I have White/Saddle Roadster #14,358 in my file and it's body is #6,849.
'63 #14,357 is listed as a White/Black coupe.

Thanks again
Syd

The car also has a Borg Warner T-10 rather than the Muncie. I'm not sure if it's the original transmission or not, because I thought they changed over to Muncies about that time in the model year.

I've got 15008. 30837S115008 was originally owned by Ron Burkett. He loved this car and put 285,311 fully documented miles on it. He drove it from 1963 until 1990. It ran when he parked it last, but he fell upon poor health. It was garaged from 1990 until I got it running and back on the road in 2011. I put about a thousand miles a year on the car. I keep it garaged, and drive it on nice days (windshield wipers don't work, but that's okay with me).

Hi Owen,
I like your '63 a lot! Probably because it's pretty much like mine.
My coupe #15,240 is also Saddle Tan/Saddle leather.

I have your car in my file as #15,008 Saddle/Saddle 340 4spd Coupe
with leather and noted that it was a project.
Could you please verify your Body number for me? I have it as #7,882? but when I listed it I wasn't sure about the 2 at the end.

Thanks Owen!
Syd

Hi Syd,

Sorry about that, picture is hard to read. It's actually Body #7881. I couldn't find any pics of your car on your profile. Do you have any posted? I haven't seen any other Saddle Tan '63's in person...I probably just need to get out more. Maybe Bloomington Gold in 2015.

I have roadster #110214, body 4617, original motor 300 hp, originally came with a 3 speed and thankfully someone along the way put in a 4 sp. I have original trans stored. Daytona blue inside and out with a white top.
Hope this helps, Jill

Hi Owen,
Thanks for your correct body number.
There are some real nice pics of Saddle Tan 63's in another thread from a couple of yrs back if you do some digging.
To date, I've listed info in some form or another on 3,765 cars and just 261 are said to be Saddle Tan.

Thanks again
Syd

Hi Jill,
I appreciate your info and I've added your '63 roadster #10,214 to my file. Your '63 is just the 41st 3 speed car listed and pretty rare I would think.
I also have #10,213 recorded as a Daytona Blue/Blue 300 4spd Coupe.
Your twin car?

Thanks Jill !

Hello Syd, thanks for the info. Kinda neat knowing one car ahead of mine is still around. I'll post pictures when I figure out how to do it.
