Thanks Syd,
Is it recorded as matching number. Was it in your record before? How can I get some record on this car?

I have both a conv & coupe , I just signed up to see if you have anything on the coupe vin 30837s107032. It's currently at the body shop, I purchased it as a FI car but the eng number ends fe 340 hp. I had it on one of my lifts for 20 years . And just disassembled it . I can't take pictures of thes tags yet but will . I will send you the conv ones though if you give me an Email , I know how to send via email but that's it. I belong to other forums and if the pic's have Togo on here you can post via my email to you, or wait for a friend of min get back from his vacation to post here for me. I was born in 46 and don't want to learn. Thanks Roger

Hi Dean,
I have your '63 #10,680 listed as being a White/Red NOM 4spd Roadster with PS/PB/PW/HT and Black soft top that was Red/Black when recorded.
Interesting that it is now in Bangkok!

Thanks!

I recorded your '63 as being a 340hp. I have no idea if it's matching numbers but when I saw it (probably a for sale ad) there was no claim that it wasn't otherwise I would have noted NOM.

Searching for your cars past history could be a challenge but one worth the time. I would start by trying to connect with past owners and I would also order your cars shipping data from NCRS. If they have your car on microfilm file you will find out where it was originally delivered in '63 and that could be a big clue in your search. It certainly was for me!

Good luck!

Hi Roger,
I did not have info for your Coupe #7,032. Could you please tell me what it's original colors are both exterior and interior? Is it a 4spd? Does it have any other options like PW or brakes etc.? Also, what is it's Body number from your trim tag?
I would also love to hear about your '63 roadster!

Thanks
Syd

Daytona blue paint & interior 4spd , manual windows & brakes. It has backup lights , on one place I believe that was an option. I just got back from a car show and with my back I'm flat out. Tomorrow I will take some pictures and write down the numbers on the conv. When I got it, it had gold paint and a couple of colors under that. It is now black with red scoop 67 big block hood and fenders. I never paid atten to try and restore. Again I can't post pictures on forums

1963 conv S109739 style 63 867 body 4400 trim 490m paint 923a . It was gold w/red interior, FI on fenders high rpm tach 4spd both tops. When I purchased. Now Black w/red interior 64 dash/gauges clock still 63. ls2 eng 4l65 trans , 67 master cyl brakes, trailing arms 69 front spindals. I can't listen to my wife grind gears, all of my cars auto trans except 56 vette it's pretty much correct, except I spray canned the bottom black , I couldn't stand the raw look. I forgot it also 65 or 66 seats, now 63. And while the body was off I installed 68 brackets and removable trans crossmember, I've always hated the pain to remove a std trans, and wasn't going to deal with it and auto trans.

Hi split1963,
It sure sounds like you got yourself a great '63!
I did not have it's info in my file. If you don't mind, what is it's body number?

Thanks for sharing!

Hi exposingtime,
I had your '63 Roadster #12,934 listed exactly as you describe (with a Black soft top). As usual, what is it's Body number?

Thanks!

Hi again Roger,
Very neat that you had your Daytona Coupe on a lift for 20 yrs and also that it has the very rare back-up-lamp option! What is it's body number? I'll take a guess that it's body #3,834 ??

I had you '63 #9,739 recorded in my file as a Red/Red 340 4spd Roadster with both HT and soft top and noted that it was Saddle Tan/Black when listed. I now added it's body number

Thanks Roger!

The coupe is at a painters & I rarely go there , I let him take his time and he takes real good care of me. I've sent him some well known people , one he messed up with , he's from New Jersey . I've been around. A lot of east coast people, so I get it. By taking care I mean quality, not discount. But I will get the numbers

Syd - Too add to your data base... I have a convertible. Production Sequence - 116596; Trim - 490K; Paint - 912A. I have had her since 1989 and my father got her in 1968. It was both of ours primary driver until 1997. Finally restored her in 2005. Will eventually go to my son when he proves worthy

Cheers, Tim

Hi Tim,
It's always nice to see when a '63 is with one family for so many years, or any Vette for that matter.
I had your Convertible listed in my file including that it has a black soft top. I got it's info from the C2 Registry site.
Tim, could you please tell me what the original hp is and what transmission type it has? Does it have power steering or brakes etc.? Also, what is it's Body number?

Thanks Tim!
Syd

Hello everybody - I've recently acquired a 63 vert - production number 8483. I don't have possession of it yet - its my dad's car that he has owned since 1994. He's finally finished with it and letting me take the reins... He tells me that the block is not original. It has had previous crash damage to the drivers side front, which was repaired when the car was painted in 1995. It is now black.

Syd - I believe it was a base 250hp/3 speed manual transmission. When my Dad bought it from in 68 it had been changed to a 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter and in 73 the Chevy dealer changed the block. From the original warranty book the engine code was F0524 and transmission S507 if that helps. Does not have power steering or brakes. Body #8130.

Thanks - Tim

Hi Slider,
I did not have your '63 #8,483 listed in my file.
What are it's original colors and transmission type? Any power options?
Does your dad know what it's original hp was? Also, could you please tell me it's Body number.

Thanks Slider!
