#10582 is still in my garage! (I just checked) and the drivers side mirror is the early style.
#21224 is a beautiful example. Thanks to Syd for keeping all this documented!

The lid is perfect like the one I bought from you I am saving up for a White/ Black split 340. I might need a lid. Yours was my first part on the way to getting my 340 split Thank you again for a nice piece!

Hi Cstor,
Yes I do have '63 Convertible #18,085 on my list. I have it down as a White/Black NOM 300 4spd with radio delete and a 5.5 tach. Hope I got this right?
I didn't know it had rare back-up-lamps and a hard top.
What color is your soft top? Also, could you please tell me your Body number?

Thanks Cstor!
Syd

I have your '63 #20,339 listed as being a White/Black NOM Coupe that was modified to a Grand Sport replica and I noted wreck? after it's entry.
I also have a question mark after it's Body number which I marked down as #10,175 because that number doesn't exactly fall into sequence with others I've recorded near it.
Is #10,175 correct or did I read it wrong?

That's all the info I have for your grand sport.

Thanks Peter!
Syd
Hello Syd,

I was able to locate the trim tag on my car. It shows the body number as 10,189. Paint is shown as 916A. Style is K4/63 837 (the K4 is printed just above the 63.) Trim is 490J.

Thanks for the additional info Peter. I don''t know how I noted the Body number incorrectly while not seeing that your '63 was originally Blue/Blue. Could you please reconfirm if your serial number is in fact #20,339?

Thanks Peter!

I have no idea Mike but my guess is that the administrator deemed that the thread had run it's course.
I never anticipated that by answering the original question one day that so many forum members would have a say or that 'Vettebuyer' Steve would ask if it would be alright with me to turn this tread into a Sticky.

My huge thanks go out to Steve and all those who contributed and to the many who seemed to have followed along! There are many here who are fantastic and willing to help others. I tip my Vette cap to all of you guys.

My research list is now over 4,500 63's and yes, they keep appearing regularly.
Still waiting to hear from more Convertibles though to help close the gap with the Coupes.

Syd

Could you please tell me a bit about your '63 Scott so that I can include it if I don't already have it listed. Serial number, original colors, engine hp and transmission type, power options, body number etc.
Is your convertible a hardtop only car?

Hi Syd,

Do you check the orphan part listing on this forum to try and reunite parts with cars in your data base? Recently posted is the original F.I. engine, heads and possibly F.I. unit listed for car 16309. Sure would be nice to reunite them with the car.

Thank you,
Rick

Hi Rick,
Yes I do check the orphan part listing and I have listed about 90 orphaned motors and transmissions at the end of my '63 file, some of which were obtained from that great thread.
A few of the listed motors are from cars I have recorded in my file but since I do not record names I have few options in trying to help reunite parts with current owners. I have posted a couple of times when a motor is found but without much luck.

Unfortunately, I do not have '63 #16,309 recorded but I did have the motor listed some time back. I agree, it sure would be sweet to reunite it with the car!

Thanks Rick!

Syd,

Ditto to to Rick's comment. I originally posted to you back in 2011 (post #72). Seeing your latest comment about the orphan listing, I was wondering if by chance you had my original motor/transmission in your list - 102170?

Thanks again for your documentation efforts 👍

Hi Preston,
Sorry no luck with your #2,170 parts on my short list.
Thanks for the kind comments and hoping your original motor shows up one day!

Syd
