Default 1964 Trim Code

I am trying to figure out trim code 490DA. It is not listed on any of the charts I can find. The car has black vinyl interior and not sure if this is original or not. The charts I found on line show the black vinyl to be "STD" code, 490AA is Red, 490BA is blue, and 490CA Saddle. I saw another older thread with someone with black vinyl and code 490DA but didn't see a final resolution on the code numbers.

Could you post a photo of your trim tag or list ALL of the numbers on it? That would help!

For the 1964 model year, 490DA indicates "silver vinyl", for a coupe, which includes BASE (includes basic standard items) and excludes automatic transmission and power windows.

This is from the NCRS Book on Corvette Trim Tags by Al Grenning and Roy Sinor.

Yes my ECL decoder source gives the same results as Powershift listed above, the car was built with Silver Vinyl interior as a base unit and was not available with power windows or PowerGlide

Is the car still painted Silver?
I think a Silver on Silver '64 would be pretty sharp!

Not sure what the relevance is to this topic, particularly 10 years later.
