Default Hours to remove body C2

Hi guys,

Can I get some rough idea how many hours to remove the body from the frame on a complete running car.

Thanks. Peter

I would say a good 8+ hours that includes documenting everything on where all the attachments of wiring, ground straps to where all the nuts and bolts go.

OR Days if you have some stubborn bolts/nuts/screws

In my experience I would say 12 hours even with some seized bolts..\\

Body mount bolts is usually the major problem. All them years under the car catching rain and dirt. Need to spray them now way before you start this project.

It really depends on what kind of shape the frame is in that you're working on. I spent most of my time on removing the bumper bracket bolts and frame bolts. I'd guess 12 plus hours. Dave

It took us (had a buddy help) 9:00 hours - I sprayed all the body mount bolts and let it sit for several days (saved a lot of time )

My 14 y/o son and I took Saturday and Sunday to catalog everthing and have the body on a cradle.

Took our time and let him practice with air tools as we took it apart.

A friend of mine used to have a saying about restoring Corvettes.

"Three days to take it apart, three years to get it back together, if you are lucky."
