Black 1962 Corvette with black coves???
This relates to the recent thread about 1962 Corvettes having body-colored coves.
On page 2 of the recent issue of The NCRS Driveline, there's an article about the Food Network's Ace of Cakes chef, Duff Goldman's, 1962 Corvette being stolen. The article says, "The stolen car is a beautifully restored Tuxedo Black (black coves) 1962 Corvette with red leather interior . . . "
First of all, they include a picture of the car so there was no need to identify the matching color. But, more to the point, saying, "restored Tuxedo Black (black coves) 1962 Corvette" is about the same as saying, "restored Tuxedo Black (convertible) 1962 Corvette."
Kinda surprised me that an NCRS magazine article written by NCRS folks for Covette enthusiasts would identify the car in that way. But I suppose there are readers who own newer Corvettes and are not aware that all '62 Corvettes had body-colored coves and this piece of information would help those folks identify the stolen car.
