Coker Gold Line BF Goodrich tires for 1966 vert...info needed.
I am looking to put these tires on my 1966 convertible:
http://store.cokertire.com/p205-75r1...line-tire.html
I know they are BF Goodrich vintage tires but I wanted to know if anyone had experience with them.
I will be using them as a driver tire, no track or racing, but I will be driving long distances with it.
Is this a good tire for that? Is the technology new enough to be a good driving, reliable tire?
Also, what kind of mileage can I expect out of them?
Summit has the best price on them but it looks like a different tire.
Are they the Silvertown radial at Summit or something else?

If they aren't good, reliable, driving tires then I'll just stick with a modern whitewall for less money.
Thanks!

I would think they would be pretty good tires since BF is making them. Have you check with Diamondback? They have some good brands in Goldlines. Personally I like Goldlines much better than Whitewalls.

Me too, that's why I'm asking about the Coker, BF Goodrich Gold Lines. I would prefer to have Gold Line over Whitewall. Especially contrasted against Milano Maroon.

coker has there tires made south of border with very old molds. dimondback takes brand new tires and puts the gold line/red line in them. plus DB uses the correct color gold

I put Choker Redlines on mine...........car is squirrley all over the road, worst in curves. I even had my 67 4 wheel alindgment, helped alittle. The tires have NO sidewall strenght.
I'll put DB on them next.

Do I just call them, tell them my size and tire preference and they send me the tire?

I have these on my 66. Not happy with the color of the stripe. Looks orange! Called Coker on it before I put them on the car and they told me they would turn to gold in a few months. 2 years now, still orange. Not happy. Of course once they're mounted, no returning. No more Coker tires for me.
