HEADLIGHTS won't FLIP OVER
OK... so what's the magic cuss word to get your headlights to flip over?
I don't see a fuse in the fuse box labeled "headlights" or "lights"?
The previous owner of my '67 replaced both motors several years ago... and they have been working fine until now.
A low and behold I take her out for an evening spin and 'dare to stop someplace' for dinner --instead of boogying strait home before sunset-- and I'm driving home in the near dark with people flashing their lights at me!!

And next time it happens, you can open the headlights manually by opening the hood and feeling around for the quarter-sized wheel on the end of each motor, and then turning and turning and turning...

I guess it's time to replace one of the motors on mine. One rotates fine and the other only rotates about 1/2 way. I've become adept at turning the wheel. Looks like a winter project coming up.

The wiring diagram shows a 20 amp circuit breaker in the headlight motor circuitry (in addition to the one in the headlamp switch for the headlights), but I don't know where it's located. The diagram shows it near the headlight rollover switch, but I don't know about physically.

Take the rollover switch apart and...
"Rub it on your pantaloons, man!"
Sounds like it might be a good idea to pick up an owner's manual while you are at it.

Well, I went looking around for all the whatza-ma-jiggers you guys where telling me about...
I found the wheels at the end of each headlight motor and turned, turned, turned them -- loosening them but nothing happened, so I turned, turned, turned them back -- tightening them back to where they started. Nothing.
I found a wiring plug that I tried to pull apart to disconnect, but could not separate.
BUT...after I said the magic words:
"dadd-gum friggin' transduceing thermonuclear rollover switch!" IT WORKED!
They worked. Pushed the Headlight switch and they flipped over in sync, and back again.
Thanks guys!
Remember those words: transduceing thermonuclear rollover switch!

Have an Owners Manual and a Service Manual.... and headlamps flipping over/or not is NOT addressed in either. I spent a good deal of time reading both --before going to CF... where I got an answer in a fourth of the time.

Based on your post it appeared as though you were unaware of this function.
When guys say you have to turn the wheels a lot to move the headlights manually, they mean a lot.

Sounds like the circuit breaker cooled down and reset.

Yep, a lot really means A LOT! You'll need to keep turning and turning that little wheel and you'll think nothing is happening, but, it is. Also, its a good idea, even if you never use the lights, because you're always driving in the daytime, to flip the switch to move the light buckets up and down at least every time you take the car out, just to keep everything in there from getting gunked up and too hard to move.
