Hertz rents 1963 Corvettes

Without a history of multi-Corvette purchases like the Shriners, I find it hard to believe that more than one Sting Ray would be allotted to any single customer. Now IF Hertz headquarters was involved directly, they probably bought enough Impalas to go to the head of the line.
Otherwise I can't see this happening in the period from fall 1962 introduction 'til after the snow had melted. There was just too much demand for those futuristic sports cars!

First off, Hertz had been owned by GM up until the mid 50's. Secondly, Hertz was probably GM's biggest costumer, and third it would be good for both GM and Hertz to have Corvettes available to rent. Chevrolet would get more exposure for the Corvette, and potential buyers had access to cars to try, while Hertz had a high profile vehicle to rent to customers.
Instead of the typical stripper 4 door sedan of the 60's, Hertz often offered XKE's, Thunderbird's, AMX's, Corvette's and convertibles; at popular vacation sites like Miami, New Orleans, LA and Denver.
Either someone pasting up the ad, didn't bother looking at it to closely, or someone in the art department thought that it would look better with the couple facing the opposite way.

Back to the fly reel. As a long time fly fisherman I can assure you that the left hand crank is correct. This is tradition. Think about which hand you would prefer to use for playing the fish, usually the dominate one or the right, leaving the left to turn the handle. Now reels are often made to be turned around but most of use old timers stay with what we learned in the early days, namely having a left sided handle.

I can live with the left handed fishing reel, seems to be correct. If you notice the positioning of the wiper blades, drivers side is lower than the passenger, which I believe is correct, Sooooooo... if I am not mistaken, all that being true and since you can't see the steering wheel, it does not appear to be flipped. So does this car really have a passenger side mirror, was it even a factory or dealer option?????

In the first photo he would have a wedding ring on, in the reverse he has a ring on the other hand on the 3rd finger.

Women were once dressed by others, often right handed maidens, and thus putting the buttons opposite a man's shirt made it easier for the right-handed person to do the work.
