best looking motor ever in a Corvette
What do you think is the best looking motor the factory ever put in a Corvette? I vote for the 427 tripower.

My vote goes to the 63-65 FI engine.

An opinion was requested, so it's not my intention to stir the pot and create discontent.
But I really think Chevy dropped the ball when they installed the BB engines. A healthy BB is impressive, but they could have also added some appearance items, such as what was on the optional SB engines. MANY, MANY years after the BB was introduced, there is now a company that sells aftermarket, finned alum BB valve covers (with Corvette script)-----------------------AT A CONSIDERABLE EXPENSE! Chevy could have done this back in 1965 for MUCH LESS $$$!
So, I have to agree, the BEST looking engine that was ever installed in ANY Corvette was a FI engine, and the most impressive appearing was the 63-65 versions. And I'd say the runner-up was the 57 FI engine (the VERY EARLY 57 with the louvered air cleaner).

IMHO
On factory installations,
Chevies engine appearance reached it's zenith in 1965 with the last of the fuelies.
I feel the 63-65 era to be the best when it comes to motor dressing. Perfect balance of aluminum and chrome!
