Default Looking for my dads old 67 l88 from Cleveland, Oh

Hey guys. Not sure how to go about this but this IS the ultimate Vette forum. My dad had a 67 L88 Vette that I would love to find. Not interested in buying the car but just locating it for him just to see it again. I have no numbers or anyting but I do have a history for it. He bought it in Cleveland Ohio. At the time there were 2 L88s in Cleveland. One being his. It was Goodwood Green. He drag raced the car regularly. He and Bill (Grumpy) Jenkins built the car together. He was sponsered by Edgewater Chevrolet and won the 69 Summernationals (not sure if was at Norwalk or Dragway 42). The car went through 2 different names, one being Mis(s) Fortune and the other being Nasty Glass. Ive got pics of the car and numerous trophies but I would love to see pics of the car today. Thanks everyone

Do you know the VIN? I may be wrong, but I think that Forum Member Kevin McKay has access to a list of all of the current owners of the original 20 1967 L-88 Corvettes.

I would think whoever owns the car sure would like any pics, trophies, etc. At the least, he/she should let you and Dad ride in it again, maybe drive it!

I dont have any VIN #s for the car, sorry. I did however make a small mistake on paint. The car was originally Red but was painted Cadillac Firemist Green after he bought it. I would love to find the car. I have pics upon pics of the car along with numerous trophies he won. I havent told my dad about me looking for it. Im sure he would love to see it again. Ill contact that member that know where all the L88s are. Maybe I can get some sort of leadway to it.

I would suggest contacting Terry at ProTeam. He seems to know where every L88 is at, particularly 1967.

I will scan some pics and post them for you guys. They are not the best pics as they were taken in 1969. Ill also snap some pics of the trophies. My older brother, who lives in Olmstead Falls, Ohio, has the better trophies (the summerNational one) and a lot more pics than I do.

I'm amazed that with only 20 L88s built in 1967 (and 200 currently existing) that someone hasn't compiled in one location - a registery of these cars with their history. And maybe someone has, but I spent a few minutes on Google looking and came up empty handed. The Shelby Registery has a great number of the original Shelby Mustangs on record, often with their entire ownership history. Of course Ford owners have the Martini reports and manufacturer records available to pull data from.

It is available, but is not publicized. The current owners of these cars have access to the database.

I think TCracing here on the forum has posted this information, or at least has it. I know the owner of one of the 20 on Long Island. It is a silver coupe and was raced.

Is the car a coupe or convertible? I have pictures of all the L88’s that were at Carlisle this past summer. I hope you can find the car.

Here's a picture that has been posted (and updated) on the Forum in the past... heck it's probably time to post it again anyway.
