Default 65 gas pedal lever removal

Any tips on how to remove the gas pedal lever assy from the tunnel/firewall. I see it is held by two screws that are in a very tight area between the tunnel/firewall and the bellhousing. Don't see how to get a wrench or socket in there. May have to clean and paint it in place.

Thanks for your help.

Got the accelerator assy out without too much trouble even though it was tight. Now I need some help with the proper finishes for the assy parts.

What is the finish on these parts, accel. lever, ground strap screw, rod support and mounting screws, and accel. rod?

Thanks for your help.

The finish that is on them is correct, they are cad plated. If you want to paint them use a silver color.
