Default Just bought a 63 Roadster for my Grand Kids

I just bought this 1963 Corvette Roadster for the grand kids. I was wondering if anyone else has one or knows who made the body's or the value of them. I know they are only worth what I paid for it and what the guy took for it, but anyone see any others sell and if so how much. This body sets on a 6.5hp Go Kart. I will redo the body this winter and strip, repaint and put on rocker molding and emblems. I think the grand kids will like it.

Looking at that hood, are you sure it's not a '64? Hard to tell with the lighting.....

Very cool, never saw one like that before!

That was my first thought as well. No cookie sheets, on the hood, maybe 64, but way cool anyway. How fast have you, oops, I mean your grand children got it to go ?

When I redo the body and paint and emblems this winter it will have cookie sheets for the hood. Yes it is, or will be a 63. Ha Ha Ha.

Mike, you got TAKEN on that deal. It's not a 63, it's a 64! (note the missing hood inserts always seen on 63s)

(just kidding)

Sweat deal, wish I had one for my kids! My 4 year old would LOVE that thing.

I will be stripping it this winter, repanint, rockers, hood cookie sheets, gas lid, fender and rear right emblems. I am going to use a glove box door emblem for the rear right emblem, I will buy 1 rocker and cut it down to fit and I will get the cookie sheets for the hood made. It may have been a 64 before but it will be # matching 63 roadster when I am done. The kids may have it judged

With 6.5 hp you may want to put a cage on the thing!

My 25 yr old learned how to go brake and steer in her pink Barbie Corvette! Now she's in a BMW '09 335 convertible. They grow up too fast.
