Noland's '53 Corvette being auctioned, Noland needs help manning Nolands booth
Noland Adams' 1953 classic, antique, N.C.R.S. award winning, U.S. post stamp honored, and all around enthusiasts dream car is going up for auction. The auction is being held in Scottsdale, Arizona, by Russo and Steele. The auction will be held January 20 through the 2st, with a preview beginning Thursday the 19th.
The auction house (Russo and Steele) is setting up a booth for Noland, which Noland himself will be partially manning, but his requirements at the auction will limit his time at the booth. Which is why Noland is asking any of his friends who would be in Arizona (preferably with a Scottsdale or reasonably close proximity residence, or, the SACC is meeting there around then, anybody in own for that who might be interested...), with some time to offer helping man a booth, to get a hold of us via private message, regarding details.
In short, Noland is just looking for two people to man a booth, his booth, and just for one day (Thurday, the 19th of January), at the Russo and Steele auction in Arizona. This is a chance to be a part of history, to see this vintage car on the auction block, meet Noland as well and enjoy a beautiful sunny day in Scottsdale Arizona!
Anyone interested should private message us back, we will exchange phone numbers and details, and we'll see if this is a it for you! Right now we believe we are looking for two individuals, to split up the day a little. (serious inquires only please, of course)
Thank you to all who read this, and a special thank you to anyone who responds, we appreciate your attention and look forward to getting in touch with you!
Thanks again,
Respectfully,
Tobey Erhart

August 2003 - Noland Adams named Number 1 out of 50 Corvette's Unsung Heroes in Corvette Enthusiast Magazine.
Late 2003/Early 2004 - Noland Adams accepts a secret mission from the graphics company contracted by the United States Post Office to serve as technical consultant to ensure the Corvette drawing for the 1953 U.S. Postal Stamp was accurate. He could tell no one except his wife about the stamp until the artwork was approved by the U.S. Postal Service. The '53 Corvette featured on the stamp belongs to Noland Adams and was based on photos of Noland's Corvette that he had purchased in 1955. With Noland's eye for detail he improved upon the drawings for the postage stamp. To get the headlight just right, Noland took additional photos of his '53 Corvette in the parking lot of his local hardware store where he found a paint sample that matched the white of his car. He had noticed the exterior color was off; the real Polo White was creamy white, not white like a refrigerator. After sending off the photos, print sample and a few more confidential mailings from the graphics company, the mission was completed and the 1953 Corvette stamp was born.
August 20, 2005 in Detroit, MI - Noland Adams and his 1953 Corvette #284 join Patrick Donahoe, Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Postal Service, in dedicating the stamps at the Michigan State Fair.
September 2005 - 1953 Corvette stamp finally released at Mid America Motorworks' Corvette Funfest. Beginning in September of 2001, Mid America Motorworks orchestrated a massive grassroots movement, called the Corvette Stampede, to petition the United State Post Office to create a Corvette stamp. The stamp was to honor the 50th Anniversary of Corvette.
October 2006 - Lee Schuster & Dwayne Bublitz purchase Noland Adams' historical 1953 Corvette #284. Ending 43 years of ownership by Noland Adams.

Hmmm - so, help me understand how this benefits Noland regarding a car he sold 6 years ago?

Noland has been asked to be at the auction, all profit is that of the car owner. The booth Noland will be operating is for promotion of his website, and the auctioneers thought it a good idea for Noland to be there to "meet and greet" all the Corvette enthusiasts. Since he will not be able to be at the booth much on Thursday, we were hoping for some helpful individuals with a little free time, the fun is guaranteed!
