I have some ugly looking burn through type holes in my frame in the area of body mounts under the gas tank location, three on each side, all other holes are round or elongated, these are torched, do they belong there or did someone add this extra feature along the way (have not learned to add pics yet, but if you need to see them I'll get my daughter to handle that) Chip

I can't think of any scenario where holes as you describe would be normal.
There ARE several holes in the fiberglass under the gas tank, but those are nicely formed.
You are going to need a welder. Someone got a little too close when they are torching off some bolts. Not that bad to repair since the boddy is off. Just think about what it will look when you get it all fixed up and either painted or powdercoated.
Also it looks like there are fiive bad holes. Two on the first picture and two on the last picture. Man nobody heard of a cutoff wheel?
You might want to get a ball peen hammer and tap on the frame to see if there is any soft spots... Just an old joke. Though do check for any rust or where it is thin. If too much to repair then replace the frame. Maybe something is missing like the rear parking brake brackets?

good i can get rid of ugly holes, dents you saw are from a roll cage that was added then removed, i plan to fix those, i didn't want to get rid of holes ugly or not if they were there from the beginning, thanks great pics, can't wait to get this frame in black
some of those holes look like they were made at points where debris and trash might accumulate inside the frame. someone might have been looking to see the inside condition and ensuring drainage.

with Bill. I hope I'm wrong, but they look like rust holes to me. A burn with gas will typically show some slag, and some of those holes look pretty thin at the edges. I hope I'm wrong. They definately shouldn't be there.
