Last NY upstate run for my '65. Time to put her away and tinker on a few small issues. I couldn't resist yesterday's "30 mile run" Sully

The weather was so nice this morning I did about an hour tour and visited King Neptune down at the beach. This time of year there very few people at the oceanfront.

Record temps here, just had to put some miles on the 67. Won't be the last ride this year, but probably the last 70 degree day this year.

Ok, so if I'm doing 60 MPH and turning 3000 RPM, any idea what rear end gears I have? Just a thought.

With an accurate speed of 60 (really 58.9), accurate rpm of 3000, and 205-75-15 (27.1"), you have a 4.11 rear. With 4.11 gears you can generally double the first two numbers of the rpm (30) to get speed. Just to double check I ran it through 3 different calculators.
EDIT: This assumes you're running in 4th gear with a stock 1:1 ratio.

Check your tach and speedometer for accuracy. I have 3.70 gears and I am at about 2850 rpm’s at 60.

today i am setting mine on stands to pull the wheels and detail the inner fenders and change the leaking steering ram, got all winter for this so maybe before i start, i'll pop a top too!........
I came home from a little drive in my 61 and a guy visiting the beach came over to see it. Gary from PA. Said he saw me driving it twice and had to see it.
He said "you drive that the way it was made to be driven"

Car needs a clutch and I can’t do a jack stand installation anymore. Enjoy part 1 “Corvette Vagabond into the Wild”
