Jack it is actually a Rust color, a little brown and a little orange tint. It was originally Nassau Blue.
The paint is a 40 year old lacquer job waiting for me to give it new life.
I have yet to decide what color will go back on it. Currently I have a new frame with no rust in my garage, a 400 small block is at the machine shop getting machined, I have a 5 speed and two rear gear ratio's 3.35 or 3.70. I keep acquiring parts as I can getting ready for the body off. I think I have decided to rebuild the numbers match L79 and let it sit for future use. Interior is Black but due to our hot summers in the West I am thinking something cooler might be in order. I like your tan interior. Mark

Great trip, and great pictures.

I just wondering how many times someone made you offer to buy your car in the different countries you visited.

Hi Jack, One of those in first two pic is Sicily. Went on a 12 night Med Vision of the Sea Cruise two yrs ago. Saw no vettes either.

Back in 08 we did Europe 7-countries via Tour Bus. Spotted a C6 in London and a 78 Pace Car in Heidelberg area. Snapped pics but got them buried somewhere.

Was just thinking. You might consider doing Japan and South Korea top to bottom with your '66. We got up in the mountains in Japan and I couldn't believe what followed us. Whole bunch of Japanese on Harley's roaring behind us headed for the spa resorts. Great trip.

And South Korea from the DMZ all the way south to Jeju Island would be a great cruise with the vette. We did only Seoul, a vibrant city of 12M and the DMZ but Jeju Island is where the city folks go for their R&R.

Make sure your credit card is not maxed out if/when you go. Saw only one lonely vette in Japan. Parts supply could be an issue. Great food not an issue at all.

John in FL.

Jack, those pics from 6GenVettes I can relate to. We stayed at that same hotel when we toured Greece last year. I sat on the same wall, and didn't fall over. Dennis

yes and no...

yes... have done 10.4s on 1/4m in italy always stick and always without nos.. (video on my new facebook...)

no... cause just run one time... cause be fired (a way too fast cause outlaw to go under 12s without cage... and go under 11s without chute... bullshit the new FIA law 😢

so... i m working to prepare a full race c5 or c6, but auto, this time, with cage and perhaps chute after... to run in 10s category... and perhaps 8.8s (or 8.4s with nos just for fun one time lol)

and perhaps, sooner (just after the winter) a standing miles (or 3/4 of miles) with the my actual street stick vette (in France... 600 miles from where i live.. and where a 1400hp (if i remember) nissan gtr hit +200mph
Will be great to do the same (or better) with 100% street car and no sponsor no part/car seller XD

Tell me when you came in italy... i will do the max to see you there (or drive you there)
