Default How do you remove paint from molding?

Came across some old window molding. Someone tried to paint it. How do I get the paint off without damaging the trim? I can pick it off with my finger nail and what i see molding looks good.

Pop it off the car and use a paint remover. Dont try to do it the easy way like you are you will for sure make a mistake for sure. Are if you leave it on the car get some tape and run it all up the side of the paint and make sure it gets under the molding....Robert

I would try acetone, if that doesn't work HD sells a mild paint remover that's an orange jell.......I used both on rocker moldings to remove the black paint, and neither hurt the anodized finish.

Acetone has worked for me on the molding didnt hurt it at all. Plus just a want to know. How did that guy get it to stay on the parts at all with out doing a fine sanding of the part.. But a drill and comp and some time will look better than new. Robert

If the trim is off the car I would use Brake-Kleen on it in the green can...

the paint was not sticking. most of it had already peeled off. I'm just trying to get the rest off to see if it is usable. Thank for all the help.
