Default `58 firewall pics

Need to see some pics of the `58 firewall, with and without the
motor. Want to see where all the wires, cables, etc are located.
Thanks
Tony

There really is not that many, I have a few pictures from last year when the motor was out, so I'll upload a few and post them for you.

Try googleing CK auto restorations and look under their photo gallery. I used the photos quite a bit for my car. I 've found quite a few pictures just using the search on the Forum.

On a completely different subject (sorry) I noticed that your 58 Panama Yellow doesn't have the small reflectors on the rear fenders. I too have a 58 Yellow without the reflectors. I was never sure if this was from an oversight from a previous restoration/repair from "Bubba" or just never installed by the factory. I looked in the Adams book which I believe stated that some early 58's did not have the reflectors. Do you know if yours ever had them?

Heres my '58 firewall after body removal. Hopefully this helps....be warned Bubba's dumber cousin worked on this car previously so all bets are off on authenticity.

Yes, my car #3352 has them. In the pre paint process (buff feather fill polyester primer) the holes are not visable.
I believe the first few early production number cars may not have them.
What is your # ? Is it a very early car? If not I would think it was born with the reflectors. JMO
Thanks

Thanks Waffle, Your pics confirmed what my car`s cable layout shows.
Both hood release cables come thru the same elongated hole in the firewall.

I see your car has an "eye-hook" next to the emergency break cable...what was it used for? Was it original?

I was looking through the forum for identification of the holes in the firewall and found this post.

Interestingly enough on the 6th picture shown, there is a "eye-bolt". I had this same thing on my car and asked the forum if anyone could identify what it is/used for and if it was original. "Someone" on the forum (won't say who it was) told me that it wasn't original and most likely a bubba fix. Looks like they were wrong. I may still have it.

What is that eye-bolt used for?
