Default 1966 Big Block Cast Iron Block or Dart Aluminum Block?

I have a 66 corvette Big Block and am getting ready to get put in a new engine. I am thinking about going with a Dart All Aluminum Engine Block. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had done this or have comments. This car is used not used on the track, it is a high performance street car. I know it would be more expensive. What I am wondering about specifically is:
-Would the car handle better due to being about 350-400 lbs lighter?
-Would the DART Aluminum Block be equally reliable to a Cast Iron Block?
-Any comments you may have regarding the above as far as benefits/drawbacks?

Thanks!!

If it's just a street driven car, save your money. You won't be able to detect the weight difference just putting around town.

It won't be 350-400 lbs. lighter; more like 150 lbs lighter than it is today. That block carries a huge price tag for a street engine; your call, but I wouldn't bother.
