Insurance Quote
I've been calling around getting quotes for my 55 Corvette and this is what I've been told and wont your opinions
Now this is based on a agreed value of $200,000 for my 1955 Corvette
I've had Hagerty insurance for years that's been for $200,000 at a yearly cost of $1271.00
I called Grundy insurance and their cost for the same $200,000 yearly is $1237.80
I called the National Corvette Museum and they use NCM insurance Agency as their carrier and was given a price for the same $200,000 yearly is $889.00 plus if I joined the museum the cost would lower to $802.00 .
Now to me that's quite a difference of $382.00 and as we've all been told you get what you pay for , anyone ever deal with NCM insurance agency before from the Corvette Museum

Copper, see 2 threads from folks that have had claims. These two posts are from one extreme to the other.
1955 with rear end damage:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...-you-sick.html
Windshield claim on a 2000 Coupe:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...insurance.html
Also check out this video I have on our site from a customer who had a Wildfire wipe out 2 of his Corvette.

I may have mentioned yesterday to you, but the National Corvette Museum would not put our reputation on the line with a poor choice of underwriters. We have done extensive research and feel like we have the best insurer out there in terms of policy premiums, claims support, etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

Adam ! As you see I was just asking a question because the difference in cost worried me and I never heard of NCM , the first rear damage 55 you show is a good friend that live close to me and BOB is a good guy. AS I told you in all the years I've never had a claim on my 55. April will be the renewable time for me and now It looks like I'll be changing over to your company , at these times money is money. Thank you!

The price Adam quoted me to cover my Aston Martin, 3 corvettes and 2 "muscle cars" was less per year than Allstate wanted for my Aston alone.
I'm in the process of shifting all 6 of those cars over to NCM insurance.

Informative posts here, thanks guys...I've got 3 oldies insured w/ Haggerty. When renewal time comes I'll get a quote from NCM...unless word gets around that they welch when a claim is filed.

Interesting info on this thread.
Sounds like the more professional and competent Corvette restorers--close to me--are in the Northern California area.

I had been with Grundy with 4 Corvette's for 10+ years and no claims. After the big storm in Phoenix at the Russo Auction my renewal went up 30%. Same driving record, same location, no claims. I switched to NCM insurance. This past August I had a total loss agreed value payout on one of the cars. The claim was handled great and payment was prompt. I would highly recomend NCM insurance.
