Radio Whine
Just put my stock radio back in my 67 roadster. Radio when playing has a whine that increases with rpm. I have all the stock shielding and all of the ground straps are in place. Distributer has a Pertronix unit. Any suggestions

Capacitors. See your AIM. Should be one on Batt Gage, brake pedal, emergency brake, coil, alternator, heater/A/C motor and one other I may have forgotten. Others with more current info than me will add to the list.

and to further help,i've used the crutchfield suppressor under dash unit. $20. it's measures about the size of 2''x 4'' (?) and easy to hook-in.

just go to radio shack and ask for a radio "choke"....goes between the hot lead and radio and works like a charm....

There was never a capacitor associated with the alternator originally installed on radio equipped Corvettes.
