Default Vintage Air - Defrost?

I read somewhere (maybe here) that Vintage Air does not have a defrost function, something about the system not being set up to take in outside air or something like that. Is that true? Is it true for the other aftermarket A/C systems?

Thanks,

Page 20 of their catalog for the Gen IV A/C conversion for C2s:

"...high volume, dehumidified defrost mode"

I don't know how these BS rumors get started...

As far as I know, none of the aftermarket A/C systems have outside air - they all recirculate inside air; none of them draw air from the cowl side plenum, which is outside air.

Which is what is wanted for an efficient defroster -- dehumidified, conditioned air...
