No, I'm not a big gloater. If he asks me what happened to it I will tell him.

Thanks,

Jason

I think it is worth quite a bit but I don't want to price it unfairly either. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not a big gloater either, but I do take offense at people that try to scam me or take advantage of me.

I had a vendor's spot at Corvette Carlisle for 15 years. I dealt with a lot of bottom feeders.

Over the years, I had many guys come by my house when I lived in Maryland. I'd have valuable "stuff" sitting around, and it never failed that one of the bottom feeders would offer me $10.00 for an item that was easily worth 10X that amount every day of the week.

I don't tolerate people who try to take advantage of others and that's not just in the automotive parts arena.

I got burned once really badly, selling an entire F 41 suspension set to a guy....a so called "buddy". I sold him all 4 dated and numbered original shocks, the front sway bar, the brackets, etc. for him to "use" on the 65 "396" he was building. It was his dream car, etc, etc.

Sold everything for a couple hundred bucks. At Corvette Carlisle later that same year, I went by his vendors spot and he had all my "stuff" for sale for $2,500.

I never let myself get burned again after that.

Chuck,

I see where you are coming from. I think in the case of this guy, he may not have known any better. I could be wrong but I think he was just ignorant to the true value.

Thanks,

Jason

Default Oil filler tube?

Is the oil filler tube original? The one for my Feb 12 build 57 vette has an oil fitting instead.

No, I have been told that it not original. It is supposed to be a T connector that the oil pressure line runs through.
