The one for me
I bought the car that I have been looking for, for several years for myself. It was to be delivered Monday so I made plans to do the annual drive a Corvette around the Indianapolis 500 track the night before the race. So my dream car was picked up in Washington State last Monday and the seller called me and said it was loaded and on its way. I get a call Friday late afternoon saying the car will be delivered Sat. ( night before the 500 ) about 5:00pm. So I call my son and to see if he is not busy if he could be at the house to get the car when it is delivered and check it out for me and put it in the garage. He said he could. I went to the track and had a good time riding in my friends ZR1 ( dam that thing is fast compared to the C2 cars) my son called and said the car had been delivered and it was in the garage locked up with my truck parked behind that garage door.
I couldn't wait to get home. The car arrived about 5:45 pm and I got home around 7:30 pm and when I walked into the garage there it was. Yeah a little dirty from the long trip in the enclosed trailer, plus it was raining a little when they loaded it but there it was. It now has a new home in Indiana. Oh you may be wondering what it is that I bought. It is a 1967 Sunfire Yellow Coupe numbers matching 327/350 hp 4speed black interior with red line tires and KO wheels and factory side pipes.
The bad thing I'd I left my camera in my friends Vette last night when he brought me home but he is going to drop it off later today so I will take some pic of it and post them later. Now I have to wait till Tuesday till I get the police to come check out the vin on the car so I can go get plates for it and put it on the road. My birthday is not till October when I will be a young 60 but this is my present to my self.

Congratulations Mike. Sounds like a great car. A 350 horse 67 coupe with side exhaust is a very good thing. Enjoy the ride

Congrats Mike.....always a good thing to treat oneself now and then!!
What was the yellow coupe you had at Carlisle last year? I know I walked around it a lot but I forget the year.....I must be gettin' old or somthing!
Good luck with it
