Default Cost of transporting cars....

Hello, I have two cars that I would like transported, enclosed trailer, about 380 miles. What kind of cost should I expect?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mike,

Thanks for the information.

Anybody else have any cost per mile based on their experience?

Thanks,

Jon

I've had two quotes within the last week to transport a car 200 miles.
Reliable quoted $575, Intercity quoted $696. I'm in Illinois.

They all will quote usually on their home page.

After looking at them all... I went with Passport Transport.

Very Happy with those guys!!!

I paid 1,000 from Tennessee to N.Y

Be very careful and research the company BBB. The company you call may only be a broker ask for the trucking companies name and check them on BBB make sure they are not switching drivers or trucks, make sure they put it in writing when it will be picked up and delivered, get the drivers number not the dispatch guy sitting 20 states away

Guys,

Thanks for the responses. After a little miscommunication (mostly on my part), it turns out I am being charged about $1.20 per mile. I am fine with that. I will let you know how it turns out.

Be careful, years ago, I sent my Dad a Cadillac, I found the shipping company out of Hemmings, paid half up front and the other half when it was suppose to be delivered. Weeks later, I got a call, from a company I didn't know, who had the car in New York, it was suppose to go to New Hampshire. They wanted the full amount in cash upon delivery and wouldn't give me credit for the half I paid. They wouldn't take it off the truck until they were paid. Since I was in CA, my options were little. Once delivered, it had the windows down, the white interior was black with diesel smoke, especially the felt headliner, and it had over 200 miles on it with candy wrappers and solf drink cans on the floor board.

Default A++++ Car Transporter

As promised, a follow up to transporting Sting and Mick.

Frank Matarazzo of GWCC out of White Lake Michigan did an outstanding job. He worked to my schedule - letting me pick the day and times. Frank picked up the cars in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday evening and delivered them to us just south of Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday evening! He communicated with me the whole way as I too was driving down to Florida in a U-haul truck with some furniture.

I have read about nightmare transports, but this was a dream!

Thumbs up to Frank. Feel free to email me for his contact info.

Regards,

Jon

Well - they screwed up.
They should have come another hour and a half South and could have delivered them to my house -- especially the SWC !
