Hey everyone,
The car is up on eBay and I am including a link here.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=221116900176
Also, here are plenty of other pictures that are not on eBay.

If somebody is interested in making an offer before the end of the auction, just PM me. The reserve is low and this car will sell. Thanks!

That car is for sale on eBay right now. Birdcage is rotted out badly and frame looks iffy. No offense but i wouldn't take it for free. You could buy a NOM driver for what it would cost to bring that car back to life at DIY labor. If you have to pay someone.... fuhgeddaboudit.

I saw the photo of the frame underside. There is a rust demarcation on the frame (dark rust and medium rust). My question: Was this car ever in a flood? Did this car come from Galveston, TX? Galveston has a history of flooding. Just curious.

It's not just the frame that requires replacing - it's the bird cage. A new bird cage (if you can find the parts) would mean the removal and destruction many of the fiberglass pieces anyway. There will be nothing left to even attempt a "restomod".

As far as I know the car was never in a flood and the car is not from Galveston. The car was stored near Katy, Texas which is about an hour and half north of the coast. No doubt it is still very humid and if it sat partially covered outside for 30 years it would look like this.

I was down near Galveston, in Alvin, Tx, July ~25th, 1979 when some tropical storm rolled in and dumped 45" of rain in 24 hours, the entire area was flooded, where i was, was fresh water waist deep, no silt, but down by the coast, it got a lot saltier and siltier.. Coincidence it has been sitting since 1979/1980?

On a positive note looks like Mdubtex is selling and someone is buying, so this is a win win for both sides.
