September 1, 1928 is George Maharis' Birthday. Born in Astoria NY, he played Tod Stiles' street smart side kick from Hell's Kitchen NY on Friday nights (7:30 - 8:30 CBS) from 1961 (Oct 1960) until mid season 1963 on Route 66. Tod and Buz were a great pair of buddies and the show popped while Maharis was there. Less so after he left. Happy Birthday Mr. Maharis.

Happy birthday, George!
I've been wondering about the cars on the show. I was able to find info about what cars were used in which seasons:
1st season: light blue (1960 in the pilot episode and a '61 in all subsequent episodes)
2nd season: Fawn Beige '62
3rd season: Saddle Tan '63
4th season: Saddle Tan '64
Anyone know where these cars are today?

The show that started the fire in me to own an early Vette. it's been burning bright ever since then, but just recently was I finally able to fulfill the dream by buying the 64. seeing "Tod and Buz" sitting in the C-1 really makes me realize that I still need to own one of those before they throw dirt in my face also however.
Happy birthday George. and "thank you"

Hard to believe he's 84 That show really got me interested in Corvettes as a young kid. Watching those 2 guys cruise around the country in a Corvette made a lasting impression on me. He was pretty good on Adam 12 too
