Default Pre Purchase help from a forum member needed

Looking at two 66's on ebay.

Anyone near Santa Barbara, or ValleyAuto in Bedford PA?

Would like to have a fellow forum member with C2 experience give either of these a look for bircage and frame, and body quality.

Not expecting an NCRS car in 40K range, just a solid driver.

thanks,
Kip

I find Ebay feedback to be about 90% accurate regarding comments on sellers description. Have seen a variety of cars advertised at the place from PA. He has had projects, drivers, numbers match maintained survivors and an occasional NCRS type for sale over the years.
If you are not close......pay for an inspection service. It may well be the best $ you ever spend, but you know that nothing beats you looking yourself. Ever been on a blind date? LOL Best wishes with your search. I have learned that unless practically underwater...a C2frame holds tough. I knew someone with over 400,000 miles on a 67 and vividly remember the car with chains on it's tires to go to work in the snow and salt here in Phila suburbs. Car is still on the road by the way.

Santa Barbara car went, damn that buy it now! Lol.

And I did search forum for PA guys, mostlyngoodmstuff, but 64Survivor is right, nothing beats seeing yourself, with a good stack of reference docs to verify.

Themsearch continues...

Bought a car from valley auto, OK to deal with, but as always buyer beware. As we all know there's certain areas of the c2 that are prone to rust, below dash at windshield, inside door window channel, trailing arms and the kick ups, to name a few. Do yourself a favor and check any car out very carefully. Good luck with your search.
