I see that it still has the coil shielding but not the Dist shielding that must owners thru-a-way because of the trouble to reinstall it.

Looks like it was a white care to start with. Steering column and wheel are colored for a white car...... I think. Be nice to know what number it is. Sure is a good start for someone.

owner sent me a picture of vin tag and it is an original tag. what is interesting about the vin # is that a different car with the same vin# changed hands twice on ebay in 2011. the vin tag was even posted on ebay. i am betting over 99% of people experienced in vin tags would not have questioned the tag on ebay. ( that 99% does not include Roy) it will be interesting to see what happens when they both show up in the BMV data base.

online vin check shows there is information on a vehicle with that vin#.

I thought only 53 & 54 had the wire mesh over the headlights?

He got problem unless he has title from some state that predates the one in the records, thats what saved 53 #29. The wife found an earlier title.

probably would only be fair to owner of car on C.L. to post pictures of both vin tags. i have many pictures, one of which includes a picture of frame numbers, from the ebay car, which i was still looking for in my files. since i seem to have problems posting pictures, if you are willing to post pictures send me your email address.

The vin is 100% original and not a repro like I see on many others.

the real vin tag on the CL car should be enough. mention of the CL car was made by brett h. on the ncrs site. on 2/24/08 he mentioned that car #100 was "bought by someone in 1/08 in wisconsin. originally white/red interior-unrestored looking, currently gypsy red". i have met craig elbert, who owns car #100, so i knew brett had his numbers mixed up. early 08 is when the CL car changed hands.

I agree. The Vin tag on the red CL car is the real one. It looks just like the one on my #128 car. The other tag is not correct.

mike, go to the Pro Team site and view the vin tag on 1955, car #1102. let us now what difference you see in your vin tag and 102.
