1963 - 1967 Corvettes small block market comparison

I was curious what the comparison would look like with small block C2's only, so I went onto the Hargerty website, entered each year, removed the big blocks, and here's what it is (except Z06); convertibles on left, coupes on right, gold chart over blue on right:

The numbers loosely reflect buying preferences. Aside from SW allure, 1963 was the only year in which coupes outsold convertibles.
From 1964 on, the "cheaper" convertbles ruled.
I had to decide which one to keep back in 1974, the '64 convertible or the '66 coupe. The deciding factor turned out to be the convertible provides two driving experiences in one vehicle, weather-tight with hardtop on, fresh air and sunshine when open!
-But a Saddle Tan SWC remains high on my "bucket list"!

From the same Hagerty data as first post, comparison of top two small block engines for each year; convertibles left, coupes right:

Good info...how about a big Block version..?
Nice to see I got my 63 340 convertible for well under the "average" price.!!

That'd be a different thread, and would leave out more than 40% of the C2's (63-64), including most of the '65's.
The point was to see how the years faired to each other given similar values (327 SB's) as a common base. It's interesting to see versus conjecture. This challenges the current meme.
