Default 1965 Restomod Chassis Progress Report

I wanted to post some photos of my Jamison's Chassis for my 65 Coupe. I am going with a Chevrolet LS376/480 with a Kiesler RS500 5-speed transmission. All my suspension came from an 89 donor car. Hope you enjoy these. I welcome all comments and any suggestions for needed changes. Thanks for looking. badold65

Looks great! What color are you using on the frame? Was also wondering what made you choose Jamison over the other choices out there? I will be in the market in the next year and am trying to gather info. Thanks.

The chassis is powder coated gunmetal grey. I chose Jamison's due to a very good reputation and also because John gave me a great price due to the fact that he didn't have any of his frames on the West coast. I agreed to show it to anyone who wished to stop by to see it. So far no takers, but the offer still stands.

You might let people know where you are in your profile. If it's near them, you could have some takers on your offer.

It looks awesome!

Claysmoker, Thanks for the suggestion. I have updated my profile. I don't know what happened to the first three photos, but I think the remaining photos tell most of the story. badold65

Thanks, I like the color. Was just wondering what you were going to do about headers? Also how close is the alternator to the a-arm bolts and mount. It looks close but it could just be the angle of the photo.

grif54, My current plan is to use the stock manifolds which came with the motor. They seem to fit well. They are currently off the motor because I have had to work with the motor mounts quite a bit to get everything to fit. You are correct about the fit to the upper control arm mounts, it will be very tight. In the picture the power steering/alternator bracket is touching the upper control arm mounting are. My current motor mounts have the holes hogged out quite a bit and have allowed the motor to settle too much. With new motor mounts I should have approximately 1/4" of clearance. With the Jamison's frame, getting clearance for power steering is very tough. You have to get the power steering pump up high enough to allow room for the steering shaft to connect to the rack and pinion. This has been my greatest challenge so far. badold65

Badold 65
Have done 2 Jamison cars if you use a Detroit speed pump with a remote reservoir it all clears.
