Default Need pictures please

I just got my new fresh air vent doors, grills and pull cables. I need pictures of the cable attatchment point to the grill and the bend in the cable. They seem very stiff and the A.I.M. is not very clear. Both sides would be great. Thanks Elio

I can't provide a picture at the moment but I can try to describe it. Slid the cable through the hole in the grill first. The cable attaches to the door with the loop in the cable on the top 'post'. It is held in place with a push on clip. If you were facing the drivers side grill, the hole is at about 10 o'clock. BTW, the 'post' I described on the door would be at about 2 o'clock on the door. Near that hole in the grill is a plastic tab, about 1" wide. There is no hole in the tab, you have to drill one. That is where you mount the bracket that holds the outer cable in place with a screw. Yes, the cable will feel very stiff but it will curve in an 'S' pattern to mount the bracket to the bottom of the dash with the two screws. Hope this makes sense.

l plan on using a longer screw to fasten the cable clamp to the grill tab so it bits into the fiberglass to relive the stress the cable will put in that area due to the bending the cable has to do.

Not sure if this will help, but I happen to have one of the Driver's side when I was taking mine apart. Still looking through pictures to see if I have one of the Passenger side.

Hope it helps,
RK

This is the left vent. The right one went away due to the Vintage Air installation.
