Default C2 Turn Signal Switch

I have replaced the turn signal switch twice in the last 3000 miles about six years. Can anyone suggest a good after market vender.

Default turn sig swtich

Yea there is some discussion regarding that......for quite a while the ones that were in high demand and the most reliable were not avaible and several other vendos filled the demand...w/ some results were worse that than the prefered ones......LIC(long island Corvette part # 18-20-C is 90$ more for teloscopic one I think......Paragon corvette...probably have the prefered one...and there may be some FORUM members that have experiance installing them ..stuff has to be just so...so.. as you probably know..

I had a problem with a replacement repro turn signal switch, too, on my '64. Seems the blinker portion of the repro switch was the weak point. The right side blinker stopped working.

After removing the turn signal cam to gain access to the curly-cue spring contact innards it looked like one of the larger CC springs was a bit too curved, compared to the other side. This spring was removed, straightened out and the switch reassembled. That fixed the problem. .. So far, so good.

What year? There were three completely different turn signal switch designs between '63 and '67.

Paragon and LICS should have a good switch, and so does Shee-Mar (www.shee-mar.com).

I bought one for my ’67 from Paragon last April. They claim the ’67 switch is made by the OEM manufacturer and it’s made in the USA. So far, no problems with it. If you are a NCRS member, Paragon will give you a 10% discount.

I will be comparing replacement switches supplied by NAPA, Autozone and LICS to see the differences. The LICS switch is cheapest while the Autozone and NAPA awitches are highest price. However, the Autozone and NAPA switches contain a new upper bearing. My son owns an auto repair shop so I get his discount prices. He mostly uses NAPA electrical parts and has had few problems. I suspect that the LICS switch is foreign made. I am partial to the NAPA switch which is very expensive if you paid retail. Since I do my own restoration i'll pay a little more not to do it over.
