Heading up to Charlotte NC to Hendrick Performance and then to Valley Auto in Bedford, Pa. Anyone have any intel on either of these org's? I'm sooooo disappointed in the heaps I go to see that have been rep'd as "clean cars". I'm ready to buy a '67 BB, coupe or roadster. It has to be an honest car! Thank you, Art

Remember they are no better then your local used car lot. The only thing is the type of car they are selling. Let the car sell it self. Just know what YOU are looking at. If you don't hire your self someone who does. There is a lot of lip stick on pig cars out there. I would think twice about the pa dealer. I herd to many bad stories about them. Good luck

Be thorough with any dealer on these cars, be especially vigilant with Valley Auto. I'm not saying you can't find a nice car there, but you can also find a car that sounds nice.

The Pa dealer was at Carlisle with a 63 my friend wanted. I let him be a salesman and tell me all about his car, little did he know I know 63's inside and out. After he told me all about this no hit car that he saw without paint, I pointed out the complete hand layed up front and the hood and about a dozen other things wrong. I just let him go on. He did not buy the car.

You can expect more of the same from Valley.

Never been to Valley Auto, but have been to County Corvette in West Chester, PA. Nice place, clean showroom. Haven't had first hand experience with trying to buy anything from them, but they seem to have nice stuff. But they are a used car dealer...so do due diligence...

Bought my '67 from rk motors in charlotte. It was represented almost exactly. Prices are higher than average but i would buy from them again.

I've also dealt with county corvette in west chester pa. For repairs. Also expensive but they know vettes inside out and backwords. You get what you pay for.

As for dealers I always thought Mershons kept a good selection of decent cars.

If you're going to send him to OH, might as well send him to PT too...

If you go to Bedford, check under the car for rust etc. I drove 400 miles to purchase a car from him only to look under it and saw what looked like a car that was parked out in a field for about 5 years. Of all his cars that he shows, I've never ever seen him post photos of the undercarriage. I just turned around and drove back home. Very disappointed in him. Do your homework...

Oh no. I got a photo of the bottom……. thanks to another CF member

I knew the car had fallen off the service lift, but VA had removed this photo from his listing (but not his photobucket account )
