Default What is wrong with the 1966 Corvette ad

Has anyone looked at the CF home page and the article about the 1966 C2 advertisement and spotted what is wrong with the ad? Be interested to know what it is. The ad is in an article under the C2 heading on the home page. Here's the link to the article.

The ad says it's a 425HP (which would be a big block 427), but the car pictured is a small block 65. Not only is the hood a small block hood, but there are no 427 badges, on the sides of the fenders.

GM actually lost a lawsuit due to this ad where some customer wanted the 425HP engine with this hood.

Looks to be a convertible with a hard top on it. They call it a coupe when it's not....

Not completely sure but it does look like it is at least a 66 Vette since it has the hood emblem and 66 wheelcovers.

I've noticed the SB hood and the non-matching BB copy when seeing this ad in Corvette books over the years. Just an ad agency screw-up 99% of the public never noticed.

For that matter, all '66s look pretty much alike, but the GIRL is rather special!

Always looked like a wet dress to me, that might be a problem if you have leather seats in your BB coupe (with a SB hood).
