Melting Slicks
I got my 326 pump from Arthur Gould. He has been rebuilding pumps for decades, and he uses only the best parts......... http://arthurgouldrebuilders.com/

There is a spacer on the market that allows you to mount a 5 blade without a fan clutch. I installed a $40 USA made fan clutch on my 1960 and ran it for a while before I purchased a 1960 fan clutch and had it rebuilt. I recommend you purchase an over the counter, US made fan clutch and the Keen 5 blade.
The five blade on my 1960 does make a difference. It still gets hot in stop and go traffic, but it cools back down faster than with a 4 blade.
I recently purchased a rebuilt, original "493" water pump from Goat Hill Classics, via ebay for $95. I worried about dealing with him, but I sent a personal check for $95 (includes shipping) and 7 days later, I received the water pump and it works fine. You will hear about bad experiences with Goat Hill (won't return phone calls, delays in sending parts), but I was willing to give him a try and it worked out just fine. He only accepts personal or company checks.

OK, I just finished ordering a rebuilt 493 pump with all new internals and a new 5 blade fan blade with clutch.
This completes the rest of the cooling system and I should be cool as a cucumber now.
Thanks for all the help!
