Default NCRS Document Validation Service Question

Has anyone had there POP validated through NCRS? I've noticed they don't off it in the menu button. However it does say "if you don't see what your looking for choose OTHER"

Has anyone had a POP validated before?

With so many fakes going around just trying to get as much documentation to prove our car is real before we put it up for sale.

The NCRS compares the info. on your documents to the info. on their copy of the shipping report. None of the info. that's on a POP is on the shipping report so there's nothing to compare.

So they could compare the selling dealer that's on the POP plate to the shipping data they have correct?

I've never seen a POP with the dealers name on it. Mine sure doesn't have any dealer info. on it.

Neither the dealer name nor the zone/dealer number is on the P-O-P.

NCRS offers the "Protect-O-Plate Book" (NCRS Authentication Library, Volume #2), done in much the same format as the previous "Trim Tag Book", to assist in authenticating P-O-P's.

Here is a picture of my POP. All POP's in 1966 have an area for the dealer the car was sold new from.

It lists the dealer because they used their stamp. Wasn't sure if this would be enough for NCRS to link the dealer code? The dealer is out of business now so not sure.

That's not a POP. The top 2" of that page is an imprint of a POP. Since you already know the delivering dealer, the only info. the NCRS could add is when the car was actually built if you ordered the delivery info. Not much additional info. for $40. Do you have the actual metal POP?

I'm sorry Jim I call the warranty book and POP one and the same since the POP is glued to the back cover of the warranty book. With out the warranty book there wouldn't be a POP since that's what it came in. However I understand the difference. I guess I should've said "warranty book".

Yes I do have the metal plate on the opposite side of the page shown.

I'll see what NCRS has to say, thanks.

The detailed grid-square imprinting instructions for the '66 P-O-P and all the data/coding to be included are shown in the Assembly Manual in UPC 0, sheet B3, and no dealer info is included or required. Additionally, P-O-P's are no longer a judged item.

My understanding of how NCRS verifies docs is by the ident number and order number. These are unique numbers that appear on the shipping report as well as the window sticker and tank sticker/order copy. These numbers do not appear on the pop or warranty book.
