66 temp gauge acting funny
put all new wiring in the car and my temp gauge is starting out on about 180degrees and rises when the temp goes up.......it worked up until i took the car apart to restore it.....how do I zero it out? or do get a new gauge? thanks!

Before getting a new gauge borrow a Lazer temp reader from a local garage to see if it is actually running hot. With mine the sensor was bad. Went thru a couple of them before it started to read correctly. Sensor cost about 10 bucks and can be changed in a few minutes.

Sounds like it could be a ground issue. Is the cluster grounded and is the gauge tight in the cluster?
