Default 63 300hp AFB choke tube question.

Is the choke tube from the AFB choke cover to the manifold basically straight or does it have a curvature?

The "original" on my 300 hp is virtually straight except for the ends, and one is rotted off - kinda like the 340 repop, but not chrome. All the repop tubes have a definite bend to them. I could straighten, but then I may as well make my own. Which is correct. Pictures I can find are NOM, or driver side of engine.

My 300HP is straight except for the ends. You can see pictures of them with any parts dealer.

Mine sounds like yours!. Am I missing something? ZIP has the curved one. Had it in my hand today. Carried my old rusted one with me. LIC shows the curved one - 327, 300hp, AFB, 4 speed. Cad plated part.

Well, Corvette Central shows the right part!

I had always thought the curve one was for the 250HP and the straight one for the higher HP but not sure.

I think the 250 WCFB gets a curved one, the AFBs get the straight (340 is chromed). It's getting clearer. Thanks for your reinforcement. ZIP didn't list the 300 hp one I guess. Chrome one looked right, just chromed.
