Default need help identifying t-10 trans

Hi I bought a t10 trans but didn't get the slip yoke with now i'd like to find one but i'm not sure wich one I need and where to get it.
these are the numbers stamped on the box
on the tailshaft housing 2-10-65 T10-7D W.g. div. R1
on the case T-10D-1
and just beside the side cover G6 62

the input shaft has 10 spline
the output shaft has 16 spline

I've seen an ad for a t-10 on internet and it has the same numbers (T10-7d and t-10d-1) and is advertised by the seller as being from a 63 corvette is it correct ?

By the numbers you state, the main case is aluminum. That started in 1963. If you have a 63 T-10, the front bearing retainer, the part that the release bearing rides on, will be made of aluminum. This was the only year that used this. All other years used a cast iron retainer. The outside diameter of the retainer will be 2 -13/16", all other years are 3-1/16".
If you have the aluminum retainer you have to use a 1963 bell housing.
If I remember correct, that slip yoke is only for the 1963 main shaft, very hard to find.

yes the main case is in aluminium indeed (and also the tailshaft housing) but the front bearing retainer is made of cast iron as the side cover. so what is this trans? :confused:

Look on the case, just behind the side cover on the upper right of the case. There is a flat boss that is stamped. 1st letter will be a 'W', then a letter representing the month, then the day and year and shift.
WA1532 = Warner, A= January, 15 = day, 3= 1963, 2 = second shift.
Are there any numbers on the side cover?

The Corvette T-10 main case changed from iron to aluminum on 11/18/60; the T-10D-1 you have was used exclusively on 1963 Corvettes and passenger cars until it was replaced by the Muncie later in the model year. Only the very early '63 T-10's had the aluminum front bearing retainer, then it changed to cast iron. You should have a stamped date code just rearward of the side cover, on a flat machined area near the top of the case; this area should also have a VIN derivative stamped adjacent to the Warner Gear date code, if it was originally installed in a car in production - if not, it was a service part.
