Default 1966 front upper a arm bolts

I have a 1966 that was built on nov. 16 1965 and i want to make sure i use the right bolt. I know the early c2 use a square pattern where the bolts connect. There was a change to a round pattern in 1966 but did not know the exact date. Does anyone know the month they made the change. thanks

Do you mean the studs that mount in the frame that the a-arm secures to? My Jan 66 car has the studs like wheel studs with the striations that lock them into the frame material to prevent rotation.

I think he means the cross-sectional shape of the upper control arm shaft (square vs. round); the shafts were square or mixed square and round until about late December, 1965, when round shafts became typical.

thank you john. I have round shafts on my nov. 16 1965 and it looks like someone changed the upper a arms during a previous restoration. I am doing a frame off and want to put it back together as correct as possible. thanks again alec

My 66 has a Dec. 27, 65 build date and both are square.

My '66 was built Nov. 20th and has the square shafts (which are the factory originals).
