I had my hood latches and other parts cad plated. I had several parts brite silver cad plated but had the female hood latches cad plated with gold color. Now the original finish on these parts did not appear to be gold but some of you guys had painted yours gold but the main reason I went with gold is the NCRS judging book says they are to be gold and I ain't going agin the book. I'll post the name of platter if anybody is interested.

I don't know about 1962 but in 1960, the female hood latches were Cad 1 (silver).
