Default 1961 f/i heads
The block is j/8/1 did they use 461 or 461 x heads ?

did the 1961 327 f/I motor dated ( J 8 1 ) use 461 or 461 X heads .............................

61 FI Engins were 283 ci not 327......and a better set of heads are the 1964 FI `s

October, 1961 was 1962 production, not 1961. What's the block casting number?

REGARDLESS of whether it was a 61 (283) or a 62 (327) FI engine, the heads for ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 61-63 FI engines were 461X.
The 461 heads were 64-66.
